The Friends of Haskell campaign is focused on five priorities that reflect the needs and opportunities of Carson residents. These priorities are designed to strengthen our community today while preparing Carson for tomorrow.
YOUTH & CARSON NEXT
Our young people are Carson's future.
We will work to expand opportunities for youth through education, mentorship, leadership development, recreation, workforce training, and career preparation.
We will pursue partnerships that connect Carson youth with opportunities in technology, healthcare, aviation, sports, business, and the regional opportunities associated with LA28.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Safe neighborhoods are strong neighborhoods.
We will support collaboration between residents, businesses, community organizations, and public-safety agencies to strengthen neighborhood safety and community engagement.
Our focus is on practical solutions that help residents feel safe in their homes, neighborhoods, parks, businesses, and public spaces.
SENIORS & FAMILIES
Carson should be a city where families can grow and seniors can thrive.
We will support programs and partnerships that improve access to community resources, recreation, family services, and opportunities for seniors to remain active and connected.
ECONOMIC & WORKFORCE OPPORTUNITY
Carson residents should have a pathway to opportunity. We will promote workforce development, job training, entrepreneurship, small-business support, and partnerships that connect residents with education, employment, and career opportunities. We want Carson residents to be prepared to benefit from the economic opportunities developing throughout our region.
COMMUNITY & QUALITY OF LIFE
Strong neighborhoods make a strong Carson.
We will focus on neighborhood engagement, parks and recreation, clean and welcoming public spaces, infrastructure, responsible growth, and the community services that contribute to a high quality of life.
