Derek Haskell is a proven community leader, youth advocate, and program developer whose career has taken him from mental health and workforce development to disaster recovery following Hurricane Katrina, serving military families at Pearl Harbor, working with LAUSD students, Carson Recreation and Parks, and developing statewide initiatives that create pathways to opportunity. As Executive Director of the C3 Foundation, Derek has built programs and partnerships focused on youth development, education, workforce opportunity, homelessness, and community solutions—including the California Youth Medical Training Program and California Prison Arts Initiative. Now, Derek is bringing that experience home to Carson City Council District 2 with a commitment to listen to residents, solve problems, create opportunity, and deliver results—because it’s Time for a Fixer in District 2.
