The Friends of Haskell campaign is about putting the people of Carson first.
Derek Haskell is running for Carson City Council in 2026 because Carson deserves leadership that listens to residents, brings people together, and works to create meaningful opportunities for every generation.
Our campaign is built on a simple belief:
Carson's future should be shaped by the people who live, work, raise families, and build their lives here.

Our campaign is focused on five priorities:
YOUTH & CARSON NEXT
Creating pathways to education, leadership, workforce training, recreation, and career opportunities for Carson's young people.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Working with residents and community partners to support safer neighborhoods, parks, businesses, and public spaces.
SENIORS & FAMILIES
Supporting the programs, resources, and community connections that help Carson families and seniors thrive.
ECONOMIC & WORKFORCE OPPORTUNITY
Expanding access to jobs, training, small-business opportunities, and career pathways for Carson residents.
COMMUNITY & QUALITY OF LIFE
Strengthening neighborhoods, parks, recreation, public spaces, and resident engagement while protecting what makes Carson home.
